WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE
Product Design and Papier-Mâché Display
Where the Wild Things Are: Maurice Sendak in His Own Words and Pictures was an exhibition on display at the Breman Museum from November 16, 2015 through November 6, 2016. The Breman Museum, an Atlanta-based Jewish museum, focuses its programs and exhibitions on Jewish contributions to art, history, and culture.
As the Director of Membership and Visitor Services, I designed and created original store merchandise, as well as a life-sized papier-mâché display. The display was first on display at the Atlanta Botanical Garden's Scarecrows in the Garden in October 2015 prior to the Breman exhibition opening at which point it was relocated to the entrance of the museum as a photo opportunity.
For the store merchandise, I created stickers that were primarily typographic with simple accent designs. The set of four prints were created on textured paper with metallic foil overlay. The foil I used to create the prints was called Decofoil by iCraft and works as a heat transfer on to laser toner.
